Birds of Burrima
The birdlife on Burrima varies with the season and wet/dry cycle.
Summer visitors include the Sacred Kingfisher and Clamorous Reed Warbler, which fills the air with busy chatter.
In winter a good range of raptors can be sighted.
During a dry cycle Burrima is home to a great variety of woodland birds, but in a wet cycle these are joined by wetland dwellers such as the Australian white, Straw-necked, and Glossy Ibis; Pacific, White-faced and Rufous Night Herons, and Little, Intermediate and Great Egrets.
